Governance

Overview

The IUI Steering Committee has been working on a new governance framework. This work has resulted in a proposed IUI Steering Committee Charter that can be downloaded from this page. The Charter has been approved by the current members of the Steering Committee and embodies three key goals:

• To provide an open and transparent framework for the Steering Committee that can effectively support the conference series for years to come.
• To ensure that the Steering Committee renews itself periodically with new members.
• To ensure that we are able to retain experienced members that want to contribute to the conference on a long-term basis.

In addition, an IUI Oversight Committee was recently appointed by SIGCHI and SIGART and is tasked with reviewing the IUI Governance process. Read the statement from the SIGCHI/SIGART chairs.

The IUI Steering Committee Charter is open to public comments from the IUI community for a period of sixty days through October 31, 2012. To submit comments please follow these instructions:
